Putting Children First
Drew Rubin, D.C., C.C.S.P., D.A.C.C.P.
No other activity within our profession will serve humanity better than ensuring as many people as possible are subluxation-free from birth, which Dr. Rubin also helps ensure as a prolific mentor of student interns in his practice. We will have a population performing optimally when we have enough kids under care and enough skilled chiropractors to care for them. With the leadership Dr. Rubin shows in pediatric chiropractic – and the sheer number of chiropractic interns he mentors as a Life U faculty member and in his private practice – there will undoubtedly be more chiropractors in the world skilled in pediatric care.
Today’s Chiropractic Leadership would like to recognize and honor Dr. Rubin for his extraordinary contributions to pediatric chiropractic as a practitioner of, as an advocate for, and as and instructor in pediatric chiropractic.
TCL: For which professional achievements will you most want to be remembered?
Rubin: For serving as a faculty member at Life U since 2001, as an instructor in Pediatrics who established three pediatric electives at Life U, and making Life U the #1 pediatric campus worldwide. I would also be proud to be remembered as an ICPA speaker since 2013, and doing it all while also being private practice since 1989.
TCL: What projects are you working on now that you are most excited about and would like to share with more people?
Rubin: Special needs kids are my passion. I am synthesizing twenty-six years of practice and learning from mentors like Larry Webster, Jeanne Ohm, Donny Esptein, Arlan Fuhr, Carol Phillips, Robert Melillo and other masters, to create the next generation adjustment for this special population.
In fact for the last several years, I have written about special needs kids and their care as my topic for the Association of Chiropractic Colleges Research Agenda Conference (ACC RAC). Some examples of this care can be found in this paper.
TCL: Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
Rubin: I am the author of The Adjustment and The Acceptance, two chiropractic novels that are part philosophy, part thriller. They are both available on Amazon in the Kindle format.
