David Fletcher, D.C.
There is little question that medicine – inclusive of the pharmacological, insurance, and political lobby industries – has become big business. Even its research has become an industry, guided by a powerful lens that is intensely and continually focused on the detection of disease and dysfunction – on variance from theoretical norms. In its defense, it is certainly more difficult to detect and quantify the degree of a patient’s functionality than it is to detect and quantify the degree of his or her dysfunction. In other words, there are far more measures of sickness than there are measures of health.
Today’s Chiropractic Leadership is pleased to honor Dr. Fletcher in the Technology category for his work in in finding the perfect balance in an efficient, affordable and effective system of measuring health. Not only does the Insight™ system provide the practicing chiropractor with an effective, concise and clear method of measuring and quantifying the state of patients’ health and wellbeing, it has the potential to provide a wealth of data on the benefit of chiropractic care over time.
Additionally, the technologies provided by the Insight™ and COREscore™ systems allow patients to engage more actively using the ubiquitous personal technology – notebooks, tablets, and smartphones – we’ve all come to know and love. Put this user-friendly technology together with social media sharing and Dr. Fletcher’s contributions as a leader and tribe-builder in subluxation-focused chiropractic technology are perhaps unsurpassed.
TCL: For which professional achievements will you most want to be acknowledged?
Fletcher: I feel privileged to have been a chiropractic practitioner for over 35 years. We have lived the message of chiropractic in our family and watch in awe of the certainty and balance our children bring to the world. Some of my proudest achievements have been accomplished as a practicing chiropractor. Most fulfilling of all, over twenty of my patients have chosen to become chiropractors.
I cherish the mentorship of so many legendary DC’s that, as the owner and Chairman of the Chiropractic Leadership Alliance (CLA), my goal is to pay it forward and spend my time elevating the excellence in chiropractors as I speak on the NeuroVitalistic movement. CLA is the perfect vehicle to reach out into the world.
TCL: What projects are you working on now (or have worked on recently) that you are most excited about and would like more people to know about?
Fletcher: My mission is to elevate excellence within chiropractic. My focus is on creating a NeuroVitalistic Movement. It’s a collaboration between chiropractors collecting clinical data and using social media to elevate the perception and the utilization of chiropractic worldwide. We will be using clinical data to show how neurofunctional adjustments inspire, educate and transform people and their health while using our scanning and reporting technologies. Enhancing the interface between clinical and communication technologies brings out the best in the chiropractor and the profession.
