Jamming the TIC

Jamming the TIC
And Rocking the Profession

Dr. Billy DeMoss

No stranger to controversy, Dr. DeMoss has drawn fire for his heavy metal attitude and no-holds-barred views on topics ranging from genetic engineering to healthcare civil liberties. Today’s Chiropractic Leadership would like to acknowledge and honor Dr. DeMoss’ extraordinary work in strengthening connections and communication within the profession as the organizer of one of fastest growing events in chiropractic.

TCL: For which of your professional accomplishments will you want to be remembered?

DeMoss: I’m proud of the Dead Chiropractic Society (DCS), which is a monthly gathering I started decades ago that has allowed me to meet with fellow chiropractors and some of the best speakers in the profession. We discuss chiropractic philosophy and try to uphold the principles set by the founders of chiropractic. DCS snowballed into California Jam, an annual chiropractic party that grows every year. Getting the message of chiropractic to the masses is our goal; that’s why I work tirelessly on these projects all while continuing to be a DC at the practice I started 23 years ago.

TCL: What are you working on right now that excites you and you’d like most to share with others?

DeMoss: California Jam (Cal Jam) is just four months away, so that is our team’s focus right now. I’m excited to open Cal Jam up to the general CaliforniaJamLogo_textSM.fwpublic this year while continuing to pour time and effort into what makes our event great. We’ve got some big speakers and an important theme, freedom; hence, The Freedom Tour. It’s our ninth time putting on this event and it gets more exciting with each passing year.

TCL: Where can people find out more about you and your work?

DeMoss: We’ve got some awesome blog posts, which can be found at http://californiajam.org/blog/. We also have a Youtube channel, which is updated weekly at https://www.youtube.com/user/caljamnetwork.

TCL: What else would you like for people to know about you or your work?

DeMoss: The Cal Jam Mission Statement, which is, “The purpose of Cal Jam is to express our desire to change the world, our passion to make learning fun, and a thirst for increased human potential. We educate the planet by creating an unequaled atmosphere and providing access to the world’s leading experts on health and sustainability. We create a community of truth seekers who make natural solutions more attractive than harmful man-made options, ensuring the well-being of future generations.”
